CertMeUp’s platform helps businesses connect with consumers, gather feedback, and improve customer experiences. Our mission is to be a global symbol of trust, built on transparency and collaboration. Before using our services—free or paid—we ask that you read and accept these Terms of Use and Sale for Businesses (“terms”).
You agree to these terms by:
Clicking to confirm agreement
Signing an order or quote referencing these terms
Paying for a subscription
Claiming your business profile or accessing our services
Use of any CertMeUp service—free, paid, or trial—is subject to these terms. If you can’t accept them, you must not use our services. For help, visit our Help Center or email support@certmeup.com.
1. Definitions:
“You” means the business using CertMeUp. “We,” “us,” or “CertMeUp” refers to the relevant CertMeUp entity. “Affiliate” means any entity under common control with a party.
2. Platform:
Refers to CertMeUp.com and related domains, operated by CertMeUp.
3. Services:
Include your business account, review tools, and any features listed in commercial materials like quotes or invoices.
4. Business Profile:
To access services, you must claim a business profile page.
5. Free Plan:
Claiming your profile gives you access to our free services, unless your account is deleted or terminated.
6. Subscriptions:
Paid services require a subscription, typically lasting 12 months. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled or otherwise agreed. Prices may increase by up to 25% upon renewal unless stated otherwise or canceled.
6A. Partners:
You may subscribe through a CertMeUp-authorized partner. These partners act independently and cannot bind CertMeUp. You're still subject to these terms, and failure to pay may lead to service suspension.
7. Domains:
You confirm you own or have exclusive rights to any domain used with our services, and that you’re authorized to agree to these terms.
8. Invitations via CertMeUp:
If you use our invitation tools, you’re the sender and must ensure all legal, regulatory, and consent requirements are met—especially under privacy laws.
9. External Invitations:
If you send review invitations outside our platform, you’re still using our services and must comply with our supported methods, laws, and guidelines.
10. Account Responsibility:
You manage who accesses your business account and services.
You’re responsible for all actions by authorized users.
Keep your account info accurate and secure.
You may allow affiliates to use the services, but you remain liable for their compliance.
11. User Roles and Access:
Ensure each authorized user understands their permissions and responsibilities. You’re accountable for their actions under these terms and our guidelines.
You may only use CertMeUp’s services for your claimed domains, in line with your subscription and for lawful business purposes, following these terms and our guidelines.
You must comply with CertMeUp’s business policies and community guidelines found at this website. These outline how to properly use our platform and are updated regularly—with immediate effect.
CertMeUp and its licensors own all platform content and IP, excluding user reviews and your submitted data. You may not reuse CertMeUp’s logos, designs, or content without permission.
You retain ownership of your logo, brand, and other IP but grant us a license to use it for service delivery and platform functionality.
You grant CertMeUp a worldwide, unrestricted license to use any content you create or submit—such as reviews, replies, or images. This content remains public unless removed by you or for policy violations.
We also own and may use all platform activity data (analytics, metrics, etc.) for service improvement, insights, and development.
Any feedback you share with us can be used freely, without limitation or compensation.
If you access experimental or beta features, you do so at your own risk.
Visit our Help Center for support. If more help is needed, contact support@certmeup.com or, depending on your plan, your Customer Success team.
Using our services does not mean we endorse your business or products. You may not suggest otherwise in your marketing or communications.
By using CertMeUp, you allow us to publicly display your business name and logo—similar to a directory listing. You can update these details on your profile.
You also give us permission to use your name, logo, and examples of how you use CertMeUp for promotional or marketing purposes.
You may show reviews and our brand marks on your site (claimed domains only) using approved tools and in accordance with our guidelines. Any other use requires prior approval and may be revoked if misused.
To keep the platform safe and trustworthy, you must not:
Compromise the security or operation of our platform or services.
Access, use, or interfere with our services without permission.
Upload viruses or harmful code.
Submit or arrange fake reviews.
Violate laws, rights, or CertMeUp’s guidelines.
Copy, reverse-engineer, or misuse any part of our services or platform.
Resell or commercially exploit any part of the platform or its content without authorization.
Commit fraud or engage in illegal activities using our services.
Disrespect or abuse CertMeUp staff, users, partners, or customers.
Remove CertMeUp branding or legal notices.
Use the platform to build or support competing services.
Mine or scrape data from our platform for any reason, including AI training.
Use unsupported methods to send review invitations.
You may use external tools or services (e.g., e-commerce platforms) that integrate with CertMeUp. These are called “third-party products” and are offered by independent companies—not by CertMeUp.
Third-party providers may charge separate fees and have their own terms and policies.
Trustpilot is not responsible for supporting these tools or ensuring they remain compatible.
It’s your responsibility to review and accept any third-party product terms, privacy notices, and data use policies.
CertMeUp does not endorse or guarantee third-party tools, even if labeled as “certified” or “recommended.”
We’re not liable for issues related to third-party services.
Any disputes must be resolved directly with the third-party provider, not with CertMeUp.
Unless you're on our free plan or a trial, you must pay to use CertMeUp's paid services. All pricing and specific terms are outlined in the agreement or commercial materials you accept when subscribing.
We may offer limited-time free trials of certain services. These can be modified or withdrawn at any time. Once the trial ends, access will stop unless you subscribe.
Some services require a paid subscription, billed directly by CertMeUp or via an authorized partner.
Prices may vary by region.
If you add domains or services mid-term, the price may increase. Updates to your subscription may require new agreements.
We will delete your data 7 days after your subscription period expiration, in accordance with our Privacy policy.
Any special pricing or discounts only apply during the specified subscription term. We’re not obligated to extend them to future renewals.
We do not offer refunds or credits if a subscription is canceled—unless otherwise stated in the terms.
Prices exclude taxes. You’re responsible for any applicable taxes (e.g., VAT or sales tax).
Payment is due in advance, as per your invoice or order.
If you pay via a partner, they must also pay us on time.
Failure to pay on time may lead to suspension or termination of your access.
We may charge late fees or interest on overdue payments, plus collection and legal costs if necessary.
30. Compliance with Privacy Laws
Both you and CertMeUp must comply with all relevant data protection and privacy regulations.
31. Invitation Data
When you or CertMeUp send review invitations to your customers, CertMeUp may process personal data on your behalf.
The processing entity depends on your contract.
Regardless of contract, CertMeUp oversees all data processing related to review invitations.
Our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) applies to this data.
You are responsible for ensuring you have proper consent to share this data with us.
32. Other Personal Data
Any personal data we collect about your employees or account users (e.g. for account setup or support) is handled under our Privacy Policy.
33. Your Role in Security
We work hard to secure your data but rely on your help too.
Keep your login details safe and don’t share them.
Ensure your own systems are secure.
Report any unauthorized access or suspected breaches to us immediately.
Don’t enter personal data into free-text fields unless specifically asked (e.g., name fields).
